Yesterday, Wednesday June 8th, 2011 marked the 1000th consecutive day of running for Steve Jones ( blog | @way0utwest ). The SQL Community and supporting friends did an amazing job of trying to run 1000 miles yesterday as a tribute to Steve. The final total was 454 and RedGate is donating that amount of money to Steve’s favorite charity (thanks RedGate!).
I emailed some of my co-workers that are runners and asked if they would be willing to run and log their miles. As I expected, many of sent an immediate reply of “Yes!” and then happily followed up yesterday with their mileage. A quick shout out to…
Jonathan (4), Colleen (4), Jason (4), Kathleen (4), Lisa (4), Kaitlin (4), Jeff (8) and Carissa (3)
You all rock!
I managed to run 4 miles, and as a group we totaled 39 miles! Thanks to all of you for running and battling yesterday’s heat! I so appreciate your participation; I work with some awesome people.
To Steve: congrats on a milestone. 1000 consecutive days is an amazing accomplishment, my hat’s off to you sir.
